April 23rd. Saint George’s Day...
April 23rd, Saint George's day, is at last being recognised by more of the population than ever before. It seems that at last the English are beginning to wake up to the fact that we were gradually losing our identity and culture in order to accomodate others. We lost our right to free speech years ago, but don't let the politically correct brigade take away our flag, our history, and our Christian roots. They seem to be determined to bury all traces of Englishness in favour of the new craze of 'multiculturalism'. Why? This is England after all, it's nothing to be ashamed of! I've noticed lately that people are beginning to rebel against these narrow minded do-gooders and politicians by hanging more and more flags in windows, balconies, on cars and in gardens. International sporting events normally bring them out, but there seem to be increasing numbers on our patron saints day now. Let's hope the trend continues. More and more publicans (those that are left) seem to be taking an interest in the date as well. Whether this is just trying to drum up trade, I don't know, but at least it gets a few more people involved. I must state now that all views expressed on this page are my own personal ones. I have no allegiance to any political parties or publications, and although I strongly disagree with the ways and words of some ethnic groups and their religion I am not a racist and would not encourage anyone else to be. I simply consider myself to be a patriot, and proud to be English. But I am also pissed off about having to stand by and watch us lose everything English in favour of someone’s ‘multicultural’ Utopia that just isn’t going to work. We have faltered in recent years but I would hope that we can make this country great again without having to bow down to those who would take it from us. If not, then those that fought and died for us made their sacrifice in vain. Please make an effort on the next Saint George's Day. If you can't be seen showing your feelings then your views won't be taken seriously.

We celebrate Guy Fawkes...
A national day of celebration...
Every year on November 5th the English organise firework displays. We have barbecues on a cold night. We spend a fortune on fireworks for the kids, and invite the neighbours round for a few tins of lager. Local councils also lay on public firework displays. What's all this in aid of? To celebrate the anniversary of a group of men trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament! We are a strange breed. We do all this on November 5th, but what do we do on April 23rd to celebrate Saint George's day? The patron saint of England goes almost unrecognised. I don't know or care what your political views are, maybe you would have been happier to celebrate Guy Fawkes and his men actually succeeding in their task, but this does not alter the fact that we are English and we should be proud of this small country of ours. Show a bit of patriotism by showing your flags on April 23rd each year. Don't ignore the fact that the PC brigade would love to ban anything to do with English heritage if they had the chance. They actually changed the bit of history above in Tower Hamlets in 2006. The local council actually did away with Guy Fawkes at the large public bonfire in Victoria Park and had an Indian Fairy story instead on November 5th. How did they get away with changing an actual historical occasion like this? Don't let the bastards have their way with Saint George too, because it seems that nothing is sacred to some.

I personally feel, as do many others, that our patron saint’s day should have more official recognition in this country. Not as another ‘multicultural’ celebration but as England’s own special day. Since the year 2002 the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone has put on Saint. Patrick’s day celebrations in London, and has also gave his blessing to events celebrating other cultures that have settled here. He refuses to recognise Saint George's day in the same way. Why can't there be a public holiday in England every year on April 23rd? If not a holiday, at least give us a parade! Will recent events, and pressure from various organisations make him change his mind? Look at the number of English flags there are at international sporting occasions! I realise that visitors to this site could be from anywhere in the world, but if you happen to stumble across it, and you are English, let me know how you feel about this. I would be interested to know your opinions. There seem to be a lobby of people who have nothing better to do than to ensure the English are made second class citizens in England, and if you don’t start resisting this movement you very soon will be. English history and heritage will be swept away for this new ‘multicultural’ rubbish! This is not racism. This is just trying to hold on to my Englishness, and the customs and culture of my country.

Not just sporting events...
English, British, not European...
In 2002 thousands took to the streets for Queen Elizabeth’s golden jubilee celebrations. I remember it was the same in 1977 for the silver jubilee. Flag waving, street parties, processions, everyone joining in to show loyalty to their Queen and country. As well as the jubilees, there are the international sporting events. When England is playing in the soccer World Cup every four years the country turns red and white in certain areas. Although the politically correct mob does their utmost to stop it, there are red crosses flying from windows, from cars, from flagpoles on houses and gardens. Although I applaud all of you who take the trouble to show loyalty to your country on these great sporting occasions, why wait for another special sporting year? Dig your flags out every year on Saint George's day and celebrate. Show the world you are proud of your country and your patron saint. Show your flags and wear your national emblems with pride.

England is, and always will be the major part of Great Britain, Once a self contained island, we were suddenly given a hole beneath the channel, which has caused more grief than good in my opinion, with illegal immigrants using it to enter Britain. We are supposed to bow down to the rest of Europe, which is now expanding at an alarming rate, and take in hoards of their surplus population including any Tom, Dick, or Harry who has learnt enough English to say ‘I seek asylum’. Other countries can’t wait to get rid of them, and point the way to England while doing it! If we must have these people here, why not send them to the suburbs to live next door to the greedy lawyers who are so keen to get rich fighting for them? They seem to think the streets of London are paved with gold. They are not! They are paved with homeless immigrants sleeping rough, who came here looking for work but never found it. What do you think? I personally, have one word for it. I wont repeat it here.

Saint George of England...
The legend of Saint George has spread all over the world. He is the patron saint of many different things in many different countries. Because of his devotion to do battle for good over evil he was soon adopted as the patron saint of England. Although very little is known about him, there is no doubt in my mind that he did exist. How else would his exploits have become so world renowned? Is there anyone who has not heard the story of Saint George and the dragon? I doubt it. For a brief summary of what is known of him click here.
